Garden looking pretty good so far this year! We’re trying to grow more of our food each year (package free, reduce GHGs, eat seasonal, & it’s fun!) See @roseoftherodeo for more of our sustainable TX homestead ❤️ Downtown flowers looking lovely thanks to @texasmastergardeners Homemade veggie stock for the win! It’s easy from collecting stems & skins in the freezer, boiling in water and spices for 30 minutes, strain, lasts 4 days in fridge 3 months in freezer. We recommend trying it - free and reduces waste! 🌿 #sustainablefoodie #homemade #nofoodwastehere Native loblollies enjoying the sunshine here! Also, shoutout to @storehousebastrop for making an amazing salad dressing from the pine needles for ultimate local salad as special right now. Local? Check it out! Not local? What are your favorite local plants/foods? 🌲 #local #sustainablefoodie #Bastrop #texas #treehugger Getting that healthy thermal mineral water from a public fountain in Hot Springs! How amazing would it be if fountains w/ clean water were more common like this? #reusable #arkansas #waterislife Love a trip to the bulk section w/ my reusables @wheatsville co-op & in-store cork drop off for recycling @getridwell #sustainablefoodie #recyclereducereuse♻️ Coffee tastes so much better plastic free! We just got back from Oaxaca & were so impressed by the amazing organic coffee & use of reusable cups, plates, & cutlery at markets & cafes! 💫 #sustainabilitysighting #reusables #oaxacamexico #morningcoffee #traveling We planted a bunch more native loblolly pines today. Thank you so much @treefolks! 🤞🤞 So excited to try some new recipes & experiment with these amazing @vrdnt.farm veggies & @farmeredeneast hot sauce this weekend 🌶️🥬🥕 #Bastrop #supportyourlocalfarmer #veggiesforlife
